There’s something special about playing tennis with the Atlantic Ocean in the background. At OUTPOST - Casa das Arribas, our ITF-approved artificial grass tennis court overlooks Portugal’s rugged Atlantic coastline. Together with FREDGIL Academy, we offer private tennis packages shaped around two daily tennis sessions. In between, there’s time to unwind: a massage, a yoga session, time in the spa, a dip in the pool, or a long lunch in the sun.
Designed for players of all levels, our private tennis packages are available all year round and can be booked for individuals, couples or friends, with flexible scheduling tailored to your stay. Whether you come to improve your game, train intensively for a few days, or simply want to spend more time on court in a unique setting, this experience at OUTPOST is about more than tennis alone. It brings together high-level coaching, luxury accommodation and the easy rhythm of life on the Sintra coast.
Train with FREDGIL Academy
The tennis packages at OUTPOST are developed in collaboration with FREDGIL Academy, founded by Frederico Gil, one of Portugal’s most respected tennis professionals.
Turning professional in 2003, Fred reached a career-high ATP ranking of No. 62 and competed internationally at the highest levels of professional tennis, including Grand Slam tournaments and the Davis Cup. Today, Fred continues to compete as the current World No. 1 in the over-40s category, while sharing his experience and philosophy through FREDGIL Tennis.
During your stay at OUTPOST, training sessions with FREDGIL Academy are adapted to your level, goals and rhythm, whether you are an experienced player looking for intensive training or a recreational player wanting to improve technique, consistency and confidence. The focus is not only on performance, but equally on enjoying the game and the meaningful time spent on court.
Beyond the Tennis Court
Alongside the tennis sessions, there’s plenty of time to explore the area around OUTPOST. Visit the stunning nearby beaches or the famous parks and monuments of Sintra, go out for dinner at one of the many seafood restaurants along the coast, or discover local wines during a tasting at one of our favorite wineries, Casal Sta. Maria.
Included in the packages are yoga sessions with Xamira in our beautiful studio, as well as relaxing massage treatments with one of our experienced therapists. Additional activities, such as surf lessons with Sintra Surf or one-to-one pilates sessions with Cláudia, can also be arranged on request.
Your stay at OUTPOST
OUTPOST - Casa das Arribas stands proudly on the cliffs just outside the village of Azenhas do Mar, overlooking the coast from Cabo da Roca to Ericeira. Its seven uniquely designed apartments, each with different layouts and styles, have been renovated to blend modern comforts with the charm of the original building. Most apartments feature a fireplace; perfect for unwinding after a day outdoors, with a book or a glass of wine as the fire crackles. The property is nestled within a romantic 10.000m² garden, where you’ll find the tennis court, pool, yoga studio, spa, and many sitting areas to take in the stunning views.

The 3-night package includes six 60-minute tennis sessions, one private yoga session and one 60-minute massage.

Available throughout the year, the packages can be booked in single or double occupancy, making them ideal for solo travellers, couples or friends. All apartments can be arranged with either one queen bed or two single beds, and shorter or longer stays are possible on request.
